DES PLAINES, Ill. — Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) recently honored Desi Rigg, a certificate member specialist serving as an HVACR instructor at Scott Community College, Bettendorf, Iowa, as its Iowa State Association Member of the Year.

When Rigg started as an instructor at Scott Community College in 2004, he immediately became active in the HVACR department’s participation in the Iowa Skills and Skills USA program. Rigg was the driving force in the school’s HVACR course gaining HVAC Excellence accreditation in February 2009.
