The Handi-Foam® SPF Roof Patch is a two-component spray foam designed to patch and repair polyurethane roofs. It also is ideal for maintenance and repair work on HVAC systems because it effectively maintains a seamless, monolithic seal preventing air or moisture infiltration, said the company. It offers higher compression strength and an R-value of 6.1 per inch, retaining insulation value and meeting commercial roofing codes for compression strength of polyurethane foam roofs. The foam has a quick, tack-free cure time of 30 to 45 seconds. It is offered in a portable kit that also includes the Handi-Gun® for an easy, controlled spray and can be used in sealing around faulty flashings, vents, or equipment, as well as sealing pin holes in polyurethane roofs. The closed cell foam adheres to most building materials and can also be used to build up low-lying areas where water pools, and to repair cracks and blisters.
