The 6-ton two-stage geothermal heat pump has been added to the GeoComfort® and Hydron Module® brands of geothermal heating and cooling equipment. The 6-ton GT Series units have the highest heating capacity of any R-410A single compressor residential geothermal unit of its tonnage on the market today, claimed the company. Features of the 6-ton GT and H Series units include variable-speed ECM blower motors, coated air coils for extended life, copper coaxial water heat exchangers, and Copeland UltraTech scroll compressors. The heat pumps have microprocessor controls with fault retry to eliminate nuisance service calls. They are designed primarily for residential application and will provide homeowners with unparalleled Btu output, said the company. The units have been certified by the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), are ETL-listed, and have earned the Energy Star.
