AMCA Delays Scheduled Increase

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. — The Air Movement and Control Association International Inc. (AMCA International) board of directors has reviewed the current dues structure and has approved the following: No cap assessment increase for July 1, 2009.

The increase was scheduled to go into effect July 1, increasing the cap assessment to $50,000 from $47,000.

The directors voted unanimously to delay the assessment increase for one year until July 1, 2010.

The board recognized that an increase during this time of economic strife might create an additional hardship for some of the member companies. While realizing that periodic small increases are necessary and essential in order to comply with the association’s strategic plan in maintaining the Certified Ratings Program (CRP) and AMCA’s growing global presence, the board felt that delaying an increase of the cap assessment for one year was an appropriate action at this time.
