Emcor Awarded $160 Million In Energy Projects

The Energy & Technologies business of Emcor Group Inc. has been awarded contracts for power and energy-related projects from several businesses and public sector entities throughout the United States and Canada. The contracts total approximately $160 million. The contracts include the design and operation of a 14-MW central utility plant and combined heat and power facility at Morongo Casino in Cabazon, Calif.; turnkey services for 220-MW of gas turbine-based temporary power at three sites for the Long Island Power Authority, Long Island, N.Y.; designing and building a new boiler house and ancillary equipment and systems for Schering-Plough, Kenilworth, N.J.; and projects for the city of Vernon, Calif., Great Lakes Power Limited, and Syncrude Canada Ltd.
