The Department of Energy (DOE) is awarding over $15 million to the state of Michigan for low-income weatherization assistance. The DOE has committed over $34 million in low-income weatherization assistance to the state over the last three years. The grant will be administered by Michigan’s Family Independence Agency in Lansing.

“This $15 million grant will enable Michigan to provide energy-saving home improvements to over 5,200 low-income families this year,” said Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham.
