Job bank Web site www.hvacjob. com is growing by more than 50 subscribing companies each month in the hvacr, sheet metal, and energy management controls industries, according to the company.

Two new Web sites, www.plumbjobs .com and www.electricjobs.com, bring the total database to more than 900 contractors, wholesalers, consulting-engineering firms, building management firms, and large industry names such as Carrier, Trane, Johnson Controls, Grainger, ComfortSystems USA, etc.

The service is provided by MECHdata Inc., Des Moines, IA. Ceo and founder Marc Sampson said these websites have distinct advantages over the more well-known job banks. “Because of multiple focuses, they [well-known banks] have difficulty identifying with all the specific needs of their customers, and also don’t know how to locate skilled people in our trades like we do,” he said.

“It’s our business to understand how our industries operate.” Participants in The News’ Job Seekers column may have their resumes posted free by faxing it to 515-278-6025. For more information, call 888-482-2562 or visit one of the Web sites mentioned above.
