TROY, Mich. — A free hour-long webinar titled “Closing the Loop: Understanding Geothermal Loop Installation” will take place on Sept. 9 at 1 p.m. EDT.

Most contractors know that the indoor installation of a geothermal system is similar to traditional indoor installations that they have worked with for years. However, it is the outdoor aspect of geothermal that usually is cause for the most questions about a geo installation. Geothermal is one of the fastest growing niche markets in the HVAC industry, especially with the big push of the recent tax credit stimulus package and $50 million for commercial programs from the U.S. Department of Energy.

In this webinar you will learn about new trends regarding the most effective use of looping technologies, and learn to be more comfortable with the outdoor underground aspect of geothermal.

In addition you will be able to interact with the speakers and ask questions as you learn how to make customers more comfortable with geothermal and loop technology.

Presenters include Mike Kapps, vice president, LoopMaster International, and Mike Kaufman, owner of Kaufman Well Drilling Inc., and the president of the Indiana Ground Water Association. The event moderator is Mike Murphy, editor-in-chief of The NEWS. The webinar is sponsored by WaterFurnace International Inc.

The webinar will be archived for 12 months for viewing, but you must register prior to Sept. 9.
