 The HVAC market conference will take place June 27-July 1 . 

The brochures that advertise Hawaiian vacations show the blue waters, equally blue skies and sunny, fine-sand beaches. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America’s 2015 annual conference didn’t have much of that.

 Citing federal employment data, the number of construction workers grew in 278 metro areas, dropped in 36 and was flat in 44 areas, the AGC said.  

 Mike Bidwell, president and chief executive officer of the Dwyer Group, is scheduled to appear as part of an April 21 panel. 

WinWholesale Inc. picked HVAC construction toolmaker Milwaukee Electric Tool as its 201 tools Vendor of the Year.

 The group will examine existing research and work with other industry groups to complete its work.  

 The sessions, “Hydronic Night School” and “Dead Men Steam School” will cover the history of the steam HVAC market and its current use.  

 Danfoss North America’s public affairs director, Mark Menzer, will moderate a May 13 session on the steps to creating whole-building green HVAC efficiency.  

 Albuquerque Winair was given the HVAC sales prize. 

 The results come from the most recent Group CFO Survey from Prime Advantage, a buying group for midsize manufacturers.
