Students studying HVAC construction will share $17,500 in scholarships from the AHRI’s Clifford H. “Ted” Rees, Jr., Scholarship Foundation.

 Until June 19, homeowners who purchase the 7 Series geothermal green HVAC variable-capacity heat pump from WaterFurnace will be eligible for an instant $2,100 rebate. 

 The BlueGreen Alliance is made up of environmental groups and unions. Its members include the Sheet Metal Workers union. 

 Starting June 30, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America will abolish the requirement that member companies also join chapters at the state and local levels. 

 Officials estimated that the Great Recession cost the market 7.4 million home sales in the last seven years.  

 Almost 200 products were entered in the annual competition.  

 Previous winners have included HVAC construction companies Corken Steel Products, Crescent Parts & Equipment and Johnstone Supply. 

 The tour shows off the company’s newest products for architecture, civil engineering and HVAC construction.  

 The GBCI certifies for green HVAC and other sustainable features under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design building rating program.
