HVAC Contractors at White House, Circa 1923

With president elect Joe Biden taking up residence in the White House this month, this photo serves as a reminder to the next administration that HVAC contractors have always been “essential.”

On this day — circa June 25, 1923 — a group of “workmen” began digging a trench for the building’s heating and cooling system to be piped in from the State War Navy Building.

Although they are unidentified, they are forever a part of history — which also serves as a reminder that no job is too big or too small. The impact of working with pride can last a lifetime … and make history in the process.
