Emerson to merge flow controls, White-Rodgers operations

August 11, 2015

Emerson Climate Technologies will merge its White-Rodgers and flow controls operations as of Oct. 1, the HVAC market company announced.

Current White-Rodgers President Jack Huether will head the HVAC construction brand.

“This new alignment leaves us well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our customers and industry partners,” Huether said. “Our focused approach to the market, combined with a strong team that is ready to address today’s fast-changing connected home dynamic, will allow us to solidify our core electronic, mechanical and electromechanical business and continue with our emphasis on high tech innovation.”

The company’s HVAC sales will include furnace and water heater gas valves, ignition controls, thermostats, expansion valves and system protection components, under the White-Rodgers and Emerson brands.

White-Rodgers will remain part of the Emerson Climate Technologies business platform led by Bob Sharp, Emerson executive vice president.

“The alignment of these two businesses will create a much stronger offering from Emerson Climate Technologies in the HVACR market and the synergies in product development, engineering, and operations will provide our customers with better solutions to their system requirements,” Sharp said.

Geoff Godwin will now be vice president of HVAC market original equipment manufacturer worldwide sales. Bob Brown will be vice president of aftermarket HVAC sales for the U.S., Latin America and Canada.  Ed Blittschau will act as vice president of marketing and HVAC construction product planning.
