Controls maker sponsoring Indy school
Controls manufacturer Jackson Systems LLC is sponsoring an Indianapolis elementary school for the holidays.
The pupils at William Penn Elementary School No. 49 — located in one of the city’s poorest neighborhoods — will receive a visit from Santa Claus, one of his reindeer and a holiday party. Each grade will receive a classroom projector and a computer screen projector.
The party is sponsored by Jackson Systems — which has long donated winter coats and school supplies to Penn pupils — and several local businesses.
“Our goal for getting the word out about this event is to encourage other local businesses to sponsor a public school and host a similar event,” said Tom Jackson. “The joy and excitement of the children who participate in this event reminds us of why we do it every year. We are so grateful to our partners who have helped us make this much bigger than ever.”
