Peter C. Spellar has been appointed by Young as president of the company’s Engineered Systems Group, effective immediately, replacing Stuart R. Amos.
“The board decided that a change in management was important in order to provide the right leadership to carry out our strategic and financial initiatives,” commented Gerald C. McDonough, chairman of the board.
“After many years in the industry, I know the customer’s viewpoint as well as the manufacturer’s perspective,” Young said.
Young, who was president of York’s Central Environmental Systems division, is also a member of the corporation’s board of directors.
Spellar returns to the presidency of Engineered Systems after three months as corporate vice president, marketing and strategic accounts.
Previously, Spellar was vice president of the company’s European Operations. His overall tenure with York spans almost 20 years.
