YORK, Pa. — York Unitary Products will be exhibiting at the 2000 International Air Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating (IAHR) Exposition after all.

York Unitary will be showing its new products at the all-industry show, to take place Feb. 7-9 at the Dallas Convention Center. The decision to exhibit was made in early January. As a result, York Unitary was not mentioned among the exhibitors listed in the Jan. 24 issue of The News. York Unitary is scheduled to be in booth 1703.

York Unitary also has a new president: Jim Damiani. He will report to Michael R. Young, president, York Central Environmental Systems.

Since 1995, Damiani has been president of ClimateMaster, Inc., the Oklahoma City-based manufacturer of water-source heat pumps. He is a 35-year veteran of the hvac industry, beginning with Lennox Industries in 1964. After advancing through numerous sales and management positions, his Lennox career culminated as the company’s senior vice president of operations, responsible for all Lennox North American sales. In this position, Damiani was responsible for strengthening distribution, while increasing market share and improving profitability.

“With more than 35 years experience in the residential and light commercial hvac industry, Jim brings a wealth of knowledge and talent to York,” said Young. “Jim’s personal credibility within our industry, as well as his exceptional skills for building customer relationships, make him uniquely qualified for this role.”

Commenting on his appointment, Damiani noted, “It is a privilege to be asked to lead the York Unitary Products Group, and I truly appreciate the confidence being shown in me by Mike Young and his senior leadership team.

“At the same time, I recognize the responsibility my new position carries to the entire York community, including shareholders, distributors, dealers, and employees. I eagerly await the challenges of working together to reach the common goal of making a superb company even better.”
