York Engineered Systems: Centrifugal Chiller

The capacity of the MaxEâ„¢ Model YD centrifugal chiller has been expanded to 4,750 tons of refrigeration. This single-package chiller uses HFC-134a. The chiller utilizes two single-stage centrifugal compressors, operating in parallel on a common set of heat exchanger shells. Each unit has an OptiViewâ„¢ graphic control center, which provides control of the entire chiller and a single point for all chiller information. The chiller operates on a continuous basis with cold entering condenser water temperature (ECWT) and full condenser flow at all load points. According to the manufacturer, the unit features an integrated part-load value rating as low as 0.41.
