The York® Affinity™ Hybrid Electronic Air Cleaner merges electronic and media technology for a more consistent and higher level of filtration performance throughout the life of the air cleaner. The unit is never less than 94 percent efficient at trapping particles as small as 0.35 micron in size. Operating at no more than 60 watts, it is equivalent to MERV 16. The unit removes pollen, mold, dust, animal dander, grease, soot, and tobacco smoke in a residence for cleaner, fresher air throughout the home. It is part of York's suite of IAQ equipment, providing stepped-up filtration that is more effective than a furnace or air conditioner alone. Designed to match other products in the York Affinity Series of home comfort products, the unit can be installed on the right or left side of the furnace or air handler and in a variety of ways, including bottom return in upflow "highboy" installations, inline in duct horizontal or vertical installations and side return in upflow "highboy" installations.
