York Acquires General Refrigermetics

YORK, PA — York International’s Engineered Systems Products Group has acquired General Refrigermetics, based in East Elmhurst, NY. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

General Refrigermetics provides remanufactured compressors for the commercial hvacr markets and services customers nationwide through distribution in New York, Boston, Baltimore/ Washington, Fort Lauderdale/Miami, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.

“General Refrigermetics fits our service acquisition strategy perfectly,” said Randy Wallen, vice president of service for the Engineered Systems Group. “This allows our customers to benefit from the availability of York and non-York remanufactured compressors. We welcome the entire team at General Refrigermetics to the York family.”
