Right-DuctFree is a design tool created to work in the Carrier and Bryant Comfort Builder by Wrightsoft programs that allows the user to design a Carrier or Bryant duct free or mini-split system. It’s based on ACCA Manual J or Manual N, ASHRAE or HRAI load calculations. The software automates the ductless design, takeoff, and proposal process by placing the indoor and outdoor duct-free units on the floor plan, automatically determining the length and size of refrigerant lines needed to connect them, and matching the selected Carrier and Bryant equipment with the matching equipment kits, making this information available to the takeoff and proposal modules in Comfort Builder. When combined with the company’s additional modules available in the Comfort Builder, these materials are instantly added to the bill of materials for a rapid estimate and proposal for the duct-free system. With Hotlink Technology, the results are automatically updated and connected to the parts takeoff lists for real-time results and the ability to determine what-if scenarios and system comparisons.
