Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012: Panasonic Unveils New Ventilation Products

Panasonic
Jim Shelton, Panasonic national sales manager, announced the new WhisperGreen 110 cfm ventilation fans, as well as the new WhisperSupply-Wall filtered fans.

CHICAGO — Panasonic Home & Environment Co. hosted a press conference at the AHR Expo and announced new ventilation products. In response to high customer demand, Panasonic is expanding its third generation of WhisperGreen premium ventilation fans to include two new 110 cfm WhisperGreen fans. The 110 cfm models FV-11VK3 and FV-11VKL3 will be available beginning April 2012.

Several proprietary WhisperGreen features apply to the 110 cfm models, including SmartFlow Optimum CFM Technology that detects and compensates for additional static pressure by increasing the airflow to achieve the specified CFM output, and Panasonic’s energy-efficient DC motor. The new models also include a dual adaptor for 4- or 6-inch ducts, making them a great option for renovation projects as well as new construction.

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Energy Star, LEED for Homes, CalGreen and the Home Ventilating Institute (HVI) have all set the industry standard for performance measurement at .25 inch w.g. for airflow. The 110 cfm fans maintain address sone levels at 0.25 inch w.g. of increased static pressure. Additionally, the FV-11VKL3 model features a contemporary flush mount grille that incorporate a 32-Watt ENERGY STAR rated CFL light fixture and a 4-Watt night light.

In addition, Panasonic debuted its new line of WhisperSupply-Wall™ fans. This filtered supply solution was designed specifically to meet ASHRAE 62.2 requirements for make-up/supply air. Easy to install in both new construction and retrofit applications, the WhisperSupply-Wall FV-01WS1 and FV-04WS1 will be available April 2012.
