The IR610 infrared thermometer measures test points up to 500 degrees F (260 degrees C). The mode switch on the front panel of the unit can switch the thermometer between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Other features include a narrow 10:1 field of view that measures 1 in. at 10-in. distance; fixed emissivity at 0.95; data hold; low-battery indicator; auto power off; large, 3-1/2 digit display with backlight. The exterior case is made of rugged valox plastic and the ergonomic design allows for holding ease. Each unit comes with a carrying case, four AAA batteries installed, and an operator’s guide. The thermometer is certified to meet CE EN60825 Class II for laser safety.
