The new ETX and ETSX Series expansion tanks are designed for use with hydronic heating and cooling systems. These pressurized expansion tanks are designed to absorb the increased volume of water created when water is heated. Each tank features a durable expansion membrane that prevents contact of the water with the air in the tank, ensuring a long and trouble-free life for the system, states the manufacturer. The ETX and ETSX tanks are precharged at 12 psi (82.7 kPa); include a rugged, flexible butyl diaphragm; and are compatible with glycol in systems. The ETX mounts directly to supply piping, and the ETSX is free-standing.
