MorePolyken 367-17 is a new tape for UL181B-FX applications. The product has been developed to provide permanent sealing, near-zero leakage, and long-term perform-ance, the manufacturer says. The tape is designed to offer the same ease of use as a pressure-sensitive tape while retaining the sealing characteristics of a mastic. Sealability tests show that water penetration is reduced by over 8 times and vapor transmission by nearly 5 times, as compared to a moderate-grade cloth duct tape, says the company.
