The compact, lightweight Model 8321 VelociCalc rotating vane anemometer allows for one-handed operation while measuring air velocity and temperature, says the manufacturer. Easy to store and transport, the large 4-in.-dia vane head rotates 270 degrees, enabling easy viewing of the LCD regardless of measuring head orientation, says the company. According to the manufacturer, the Model 8321 automatically performs maximum, minimum, and average velocity calculations, and is suitable for use on large grille faces, fume hoods, or other large openings. The company says it also works well in turbulent airflows, since the vane mechan-ically averages velocity fluctuations.
