Trane Begins Production Of New Product Line

TYLER, TX — Trane, Unitary Products Group, a division of American Standard Companies, recently began production on the first models in its XL_i product platform design. The company said the rollout of the model families will occur over 15 months and will include residential air conditioners and heat pumps at efficiency levels from 13 through 18 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratios (SEER).

According to the manufacturer, substantial investment in design and factory retooling has and will continue to be made in the product line as it is rolled out to distributors. Trane also said that the new products incorporate the findings from extensive dealer and consumer research, and will be more reliable and easier to install and service. Installation and service features include readily accessible connections to refrigerant lines and a swingaway panel that accesses the control panel with the removal of only two screws.

The limited warranty on these XL_i Models will be 10 years on compressors, 10 years on the outdoor coils, and 10 years on internal functional parts.
