ECR Intl. recently held its ECR Expo at the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island. The 2017 ECR Expo welcomed wholesalers, contractors, and industry partners to its indoor trade show and outdoor live-fire demonstrations. This was the first event of its kind for ECR Intl.
The UN Economic Commission for Europe has estimated that, by 2050, the world’s population will reach about 9 billion — 70 percent will live in cities, which equates to adding 235 cities the size of Paris. This, combined with rising global temperatures, will result in a boom in demand for cooling devices, such as air conditioners and refrigerators, and a corresponding surge in energy demand, which will create additional impacts on the climate.

Daikin Industries Ltd. (DIL) continues to expand its business here in North America. Daikin North America LLC (DNA), a subsidiary of DIL, recently announced an important alignment with Thermaltech LLC. Thermaltech will become DNA’s representative for variable refrigerant volume (VRV) and light commercial product sales and support in western Pennsylvania, southeastern Ohio, northern West Virginia, and western Maryland.

Midea has won the bid to provide central air conditioning systems for seven stadiums in Russia. Midea will offer comprehensive air conditioning solutions for the stadiums with its leading falling film water-cooled screw chillers, MAi full inverter intelligent variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems, and fan coil units.
