Zebra Technologies Corp. and Atmel® Corp. announced the demonstration of a smart refrigeration Internet of Things (IoT) reference design at NRF 2016 in New York City. The companies said the IoT reference design provides an easy-to-deploy, cloud-based temperature monitoring solution.
The Carel HEOS Sistema is a high-efficiency solution for refrigerated cases. It features remote cases fitted with variable-speed BLDC compressors cooled by a water loop. Each case can adapt its operating pressure to the load conditions in real time, allowing the compressor to operate in the most energy-advantageous conditions.
ComStar International is introducing two new refrigerants. RS-44B (R-453A) is a low-global warming potential (GWP), energy-saving HFC refrigerant that replaces R-22 in a/c and refrigeration applications without an oil or component change.
