Heat pumps and room a/c will dominate; unitary air conditioners will see above average gains

The market for HVAC equipment globally is forecast to reach $155.1 billion by 2022, according to a new report published by Transparency Market Research. The demand for all types of HVAC equipment is expected to increase through 2022; however, sales of heat pumps and room air conditioners are expected to dominate through the forecast period.
Bob and Tim were at a retail store where the manager had called and said there was no cooling. The system was a 5-ton heat pump. Year-to-date combined shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps up 12.2 percent

United States shipments of central air conditioners and air-source heat pumps totaled 673,360 units in April 2015, up 3.8 percent from 648,404 units shipped in April 2014, according to the latest statistics from the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI).
