Western State Design has had a hot water-generating system installed by solar thermal energy developer, ergSol, at its headquarters office in Hayward, Calif. The compact solar system provides hot water for demonstration commercial and coin-op laundry equipment.
Pilot Will Help Region Evaluate Energy Efficiency for Northwest Homes

Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA), in collaboration with its utility and energy efficiency partners and regional builders, is piloting a new residential homes program to lay the foundation to increase the energy efficiency and comfort of new homes across the region.
For the fourth straight year, Chas Roberts Air Conditioning and Plumbing will be awarding Arizona families in need with a new HVAC system. Chas Roberts will select two winners — one in Phoenix and one in Tucson. Each will receive a new Carrier or Goodman brand air conditioning and heating system.
The NW Ductless Heat Pump Project has announced its Contractor of the Year awards to partners who have demonstrated superior performance in quality installations, customer service, and consumer marketing and education on ductless heating and cooling systems.
Air Care, a Chandler, Ariz.-based HVAC contractor, announced that it is providing Aeroseal duct sealing with the purchase of a new air conditioning unit. The offer applies to all new air conditioning units purchased from and installed by Air Care for a limited time.

REC Solar, a leader in solar system design and installation, has announced the completion of solar installations totaling 3.5 MW at 12 Arizona public schools. The systems will provide enough power to reduce the schools’ electricity bills by up to 20 percent, said the company.
