The Retro-Mate® offers a fast, cost-effective method for replacing rooftop hvac units, says the company. Once the old rooftop unit is removed, the Retro-Mate is installed on top of the existing curb to adapt to the new hvac unit, even if the new unit is larger, accord-ing to the manu-facturer. The adapter is factory prefabricated of heavy galvanized or Galvalume® steel, including 11¼2-in., 3-lb insulation, transitions, baffles, and structural supports that join the new rooftop unit to the existing curb and ductwork.
