Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008: Testo Introduces New Thermal Imager

NEW YORK - At a press conference Wednesday at the 2008 AHR Expo at the Javits Center in New York City, Mark Bruinsma, president of Testo, provides information to members of the trade press regarding his company’s newest piece of equipment, the Testo 880 Thermal Imager.

According to Bruinsma, the imager allows the technician to see beyond the range of visible light and to capture images of object temperature. “Even though infrared energy is outside the visible range, the Testo 880 Thermal Imager detects infrared signatures and enables you to see temperatures displayed in real-time images,” said Testo’s president.

The featured instrument is designed to display hidden problems in an HVAC system, record thermal and optional visual images, and generate customer reports.
