OnTrack vehicle tracking system, version 6.1, provides real-time access to onboard diagnostics of individual vehicles, giving fleet managers immediate access to mpg data, fuel tank levels, and other data that supports companies’ fuel efficiency initiatives. Other key upgrades include routing with drive time optimization and turn-by-turn directions, two-way messaging, and advanced maintenance reports. The program includes integration of high-resolution satellite imagery, which provides fleet managers with visual information not available on maps, such as vegetation, topographical features, obstacles on commercial properties, and other off-road information. The Matchmaking function helps ensure that the employee and vehicle assigned to a work order are appropriate for the job. The program allows monitoring of vehicles that exceed posted speed limits, which enables companies to reduce moving violations and liability.
