The “Proper Use of Test Instruments & Service Equipment: Using Analog & Digital Meters” is the first in a planned series of DVD programs. In addition to covering safety issues, the program employs test equipment from several different manufacturers to show how to properly use meters when accomplishing continuity and resistance, ac and dc voltage, capacitance, current, and temperature measurements. According to the manufacturer, it presents a nuts and bolts approach to getting things done that will ultimately lead to understanding and evaluating HVACR equipment in order to troubleshoot effectively. Written and presented by Jim Johnson, this program has a 60-minute run time. The package includes a CD containing an accompanying guide that, when printed, is used as a follow-along, interactive resource while the DVD is being viewed.
