Taco, Inc.: SAFETY VALVE

The Water and Gas Safety Valve (WAGS) has been designed to shut off both gas and water feeds before disaster strikes, according to the company. Said to be the only dual-protection product of its kind, the unit can be quickly and easily installed on both gas-fired hot water heaters as well as non-gas hot water heaters with no electrical connections, says the manufacturer. The valve has a spring-loaded piston held back by a moisture-proof, but water-soluble disk.
