System Sensor: Air Duct Smoke Detector

The 7251DH intelligent air duct smoke detector is the latest addition to the company’s high-sensitivity detection lineup. It combines a high-sensitivity laser sensor with smoke detection capability. By employing a high-sensitivity detector in an air sampling duct housing, the sensing can take place in a controlled manner in the return airstream. When the laser sensor in the detector senses sufficient smoke, an alarm signal is initiated at the fire control panel monitoring the detector. At that point, proper steps can be taken to identify the source of the concern and resolve it before the activation of fire suppression systems or facility down time.
