FLORHAM PARK, NJ — Comverge Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of Data Systems and Software Inc. (DSSI), announced that a major Northeast utility company increased its order of Superstats, in light of strong customer demand for the product.

The Superstat, jointly developed by Honeywell and Comverge Tech-nologies, is a state-of-the-art, programmable thermostat with a built-in wireless radio frequency (RF) communication module.

The thermostat allows residential customers to use their air conditioning and heating more efficiently and lower their energy usage. Utilities benefit by avoiding peak electric charges.

Frank Magnotti, president of Comverge Technologies, said, “Superstats are an effective way for utilities to combat the power shortages that have been witnessed across the country. Feedback from our utility customers indicates that the marketing results have been extremely positive, as witnessed by this reorder.”
