The 5-ton transportable temperature systems can be used as a temporary solution to cooling problems when repairs or replacements are being made to permanent air-handling systems. They can also serve as supplemental cooling in areas that have hot spots or when additional installed equipment has caused an overload on current systems. Because the units can fit through a doorway, they are easily wheeled into position where needed. Long duct runs add to their flexibility, conducting cool or hot air over distances up to 100 feet. Multiple units can be installed to replace large-capacity cooling for interim periods or as a permanent installation. Heavy-duty sheet metal enclosures and a tough chassis make these units very durable and able to withstand the rigors of outdoor as well as indoor environments. Features include a powder-coat exterior finish; very long power cords of up to 110 feet; and Camlock® cord connections, which allows cords to be daisy-chained for longer power cord runs. Additional features such as electric heat and larger blower motors are available on these units, permitting them to be customized for any application.
