BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. - Spirax Sarco Inc., (SSI) acquired a majority interest in UltraPure Group Limited Inc. Headquartered in North Port, Fla., the company manufactures pure steam generators and water stills for the bio-pharmaceutical industry. UltraPure has been renamed Spirax UltraPure LLC, and has joined SSI as a business unit within Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc. Nigel Sewell, northeast regional sales manager for SSI, has relocated to Florida and is now president and general manager of Spirax UltraPure.

"UltraPure is a natural fit for our steam solution portfolio. We anticipate that, as hygiene requirements become more demanding, UltraPure's products and technology will be increasingly relevant in a broader range of steam using applications," said Mark Vernon, divisional director Americas.
