The Optimaxâ„¢ portable UV leak detector uses super-high flux LED technology to deliver 10 times brighter UV light than regular LED lights, claims the company. The lamp is powered by a rechargeable battery, and is designed to provide more than six hours of operation between charges. It has an inspection range of over 20 feet (6 meters). According to the manufacturer, it makes all fluorescent dyes glow much brighter, so a technician does not have to waste time trying to match a dye to the right lamp for best results.
