The CTIAC (combustion turbine inlet air cooling) system incorporates rigid media evaporative pre-cooling in custom stainless steel casings for improved efficiency and increased output during peak demand periods, says the company. Benefits of direct evaporative precooling of outside air in combustion turbine applications include: lowest first and operating costs, minimal increase in system pressure drop, fast installation time of custom casings, low maintenance costs, and its highest efficiency coexists with peak load outside air conditions, the company says.
