Siemens Building Technologies Inc.: VAV Controller

A Talon® Predator® variable air volume (VAV) controller with supply air temperature (SAT) response has a thermal control sequence that automatically adjusts airflow to maintain cooling as supply air temperature changes, the company states. It improves VAV direct expansion (DX) cooling zone control by eliminating room temperature disturbance due to frequent cycling of DX systems, says the manufacturer. The varying supply temperature causes an adjustment of airflow rate in response to supply temperature and room temperature. This unit is LonMark® certified. The VAV with SAT response is available in both Predator VAV actuator and Predator reduced point VAV controller platforms.
