Siemens Building Technologies Inc.: Room Temperature Sensor

The new wireless Room Temperature Sensor (RTS) can be installed in almost any room or on any surface, and is ideal for hard-to-wire applications, the company says. This sensor can be installed as a direct mount or by using standard electrical conduit box or Velcro®, such as in glass atriums and rooms with marble walls, the manufacturer states. It can also be mounted on movable walls or other temporary surfaces, such as those at construction sites and museums. Other features include one-to-one sensor-to-transceiver design; radio frequency link and P1 communication protocol technologies; multifrequency hopping for signal integrity; 100 feet transmission range; and transmission from 55 degrees to 95 degrees F, ±0.5 degrees.
