Siemens Building Technologies, Inc. (Buffalo Grove, IL) has been awarded a multiyear contract to provide the operations and maintenance of hvac systems and janitorial services at the corporate headquarters of Sears, Roebuck and Co. in Hoffman Estates, IL. Siemens also manages Sears’ subcontracts, including man-lift operations, generator maintenance, water treatment, and chiller maintenance.



Copeland Corp. (Sidney, OH) announces that its new computer-based training and certification program for its PrimeSource wholesaler network is a success. Released last spring, the Passport™ program has seen more than 900 wholesaler branch personnel complete the training and become certified.



United Technologies Corp. (Hartford, CT) has selected the Pathlore (Columbus, OH) Learning Management System to track and report employee progress at "The Learning Portal," the new web-based source of e-learning opportunities for United Technologies' 148,000 employees.



Air Rover, Inc. (Tyler, TX) and its Stiles Industries division have completed the construction of a new 100,000-sq-ft manufacturing facility. An additional eight acres have been purchased at the site for planned expansions in the near future.



The Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Division of Danfoss Inc. (Baltimore, MD) has become a member of Businesses for the Bay, a voluntary program operated by the EPA and partners from both the public and private sectors which encourages and recognizes pollution prevention practices at organizations located around Chesapeake Bay.



International Cavitation Technologies, Inc. (Tulsa, OK) announces that it has contracted to purchase a 10-acre tract of land for construction of its new corporate headquarters and research center in Glenpool, a suburb of Tulsa. • Ettore Gregorini is the new president of the components product line within the Electrolux Group, succeeding Leonello Verduzio. Headquartered in Mel, Italy, the product line produces 21 million refrigerator compressors every year.



Wolverine Tube, Inc. (Huntsville, AL) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the joining products business of Engelhard Corp. (Iselin, NJ). Terms were not disclosed. Both companies anticipate that the acquisition will be completed in the third quarter.
