Sept. 10, 2004: ISH North America To Feature HVAC Seminars

ATLANTA - Messe Frankfurt has released its seminar schedule for the 2004 ISH North America trade show to be held October 14-16 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The seminar program includes an HVAC track, featuring topics of interest to HVAC contractors.

The HVAC seminars include:

  • Carbon Monoxide Panel - A panel of certified instructors and industry leaders discuss carbon monoxide issues, safety, and solutions. Panelists include Jim Davis, George Lanthier, Rudy Leatherman, Tim McElwain, and Mark Hunt. The discussion is moderated by John R. Hall, News Business Management Editor. Two sessions will be held on Thursday, Oct. 14.

  • Improving Workplace Quality and Motivating Employees - Learn techniques to improve the work environment, motivate employees, and promote overall performance improvement and customer focus. The speaker is Frank Besednjak. One session will be held on Friday, Oct. 15.

  • IAQ School - According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), nearly half of America's schools have problems linked to poor indoor air quality (IAQ). HVACR contractors have an opportunity to turn poor school IAQ into a healthy profit center. The speaker is John R. Hall, News Business Management Editor. One session will be held on Friday, Oct. 15.

  • Moisture and Mold - Learn the facts relating to mildew, mold, and moisture problems indoors. Find out how to improve the standards and methods of both residential and commercial construction and mechanical systems to reduce the potential problems. The speaker is Frank Besednjak. One session will be held on Friday, Oct. 15.

  • Implementing Technology for Profit Now - Learn how to implement, train, and integrate advances in technology into a service company - from state-of-the-art call and dispatch center technology to the efficiency of inventory control management and training. The speaker is Anthony Gemma, News' 2004 "Best Contractor to Work For" winner. One session will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16.

  • Thermal-Driven Air Conditioning Systems - In an age of rising electrical and natural gas costs, there are economic advantages to thermal air conditioning systems such as absorption chillers and small gas-fired split systems. The speaker is Gunther Mertz. One session will be held on Saturday, Oct. 16.
