The Direct-Temp® direct-vent chimney system contains a proprietary woven fiberglass seal, which makes a secure connection, ensuring that combustible products will not leak out of the chimney system, the company says. The chamfered edges allow for easy slide-together assembly that will lock in place by pressing the new LockTab feature, states the manufacturer. According to the company, these positively locked sections then can be rotated 360 degrees. The inner lining is made of stainless steel. The centering brackets holding the liner in place do not require welding or rivets. These brackets use a triangular design that allows inner and outer pipe to expand and contract without making popping or cracking noises, the company states.
