Schmidt's Wholesale Raises Money

MONTICELLO, N.Y. - Schmidt’s Wholesale announced it raised nearly $5,000 for the American Cancer Society in one of the 2008 Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks, held Oct. 19, 2008. According to the company, this walk is the American Cancer Society’s premier event to help fight breast cancer, provide hope, and raise both dollars and awareness. Since 1993, nearly 4 million walkers across the country have raised more than $280 million through Making Strides events to help fight this disease.

“We wanted to do our part, and Schmidt’s was able to accomplish this donation through the support of its customers, friends, and family members,” said Lisa Schmidt, director of marketing, Schmidt’s Wholesale. “It was amazing to see how the support snowballed all the way up to the event.”
