RSES Honors Several From South, Southeast

A number of Refrigeration Service Engineers Society (RSES) members from the South and Southeast regions of the United States have earned Certificate Member and Certificate Member Specialist honors by passing exams that tested their knowledge in the installation and servicing of HVACR equipment.

CM honors went to Thomas Griffin of the John Spence Chapter in Montgomery, Ala.; Fisher Hutchens of the Tennessee Valley Chapter, Decatur, Ala.; and Russell Murray of the Coosa Valley Chapter in Anniston, Ala.

In the CMS category, Jerry Beach of the San Antonio Chapter passed the exam in heat pumps; Larry Lynn, an RSES regional director and member of the Middle Tennessee Chapter in Nashville, Tenn., passed the heat pump exam; Jimmy Abernathy, also of the Middle Tennessee Chapter, passed the exam in domestic service; Hugh Cole of the Five Star Chapter in Suwanee, Ga., passed the heat pump exam; and John Sweeney of the South Alabama Chapter, Opp, Ga., passed the heat pump exam.

The CM/CMS exam series originated in 1935 and have been updated and expanded over the years to reflect the most current HVACR technology.
