DES PLAINES, IL — The Refrig-eration Service Engineers Society (RSES) and its Greater Pittsburgh Chapter will present “Troubleshooting Steam & Hot Water Systems.” The seminar will take place November 10 at the Robert Morris College in Moon Township, PA.

According to RSES, topics to be covered at the seminar include: how to avoid common two-pipe steam pitfalls; how steam traps work and how to size them so they last; the care and feeding of vacuum systems; how to get rid of water hammer once and for all; and much more. This one-day course will be led by Dan Holohan. Holohan began his career in hvacr in 1970 as a New York-based manufacturer’s representative and has written more than a dozen books ranging from steam heating to teaching technicians.
