RSC Announces New Sales and Distribution Center

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Refrigeration Sales Corp. (RSC) has announced the spring 2007 move of its premier Sales Center and Distribution Warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. The 45,000-square-foot facility is designed to enhance customer service and support RSC’s No. 1 goal: service speed.

The facility’s location is one of several benefits for customers. “The Columbus location is extremely accessible and convenient to customers both north and south of Columbus,” said Warren Farr, president of RSC. “This is important because a large portion of our business is customer pickup.” Additionally, the new facility has five loading docks designed to make customer pickups fast and easy.

“We recognize that, to be successful, RSC needs to find ways of ensuring that our customers are successful,” said Farr. “Our emphasis is on reducing the amount of time that a customer spends on non-value activities, such as ordering and picking up product. Our new distribution services facility streamlines these processes and gets our customer back to helping his or her own customers quickly and efficiently.”

Service speed was the primary driver in designing RSC’s new Columbus facility. As a result, significant investments were made in the layout, machinery, and technology of the facility. These investments and others are intended to provide a substantial improvement in the service speed and expertise that RSC can deliver to its customers. Investments include all new material storage and handling systems designed around fast product flow as well as state-of-the-art showroom and world-class training facilities.

“With the move of our Columbus facility, RSC will be more accessible than ever to all of our valued customers,” said Farr. “This facility investment in the Columbus, Ohio, area is a visible sign of our commitment to growth in this marketplace.”

RSC is a wholesaler of HVACR equipment, parts, and supplies. Headquartered in Cleveland, RSC has been in business for 62 years.
