Ridge Tool: tapping tool

The new RIDGID® RT-3422 tapping tool is designed for tapping water lines up to 500 psi, and steam, air, and natural gas lines up to 150 psi. The tool allows mechanical and plumbing contractors to install 3/4- to 2-in. branch lines while a line is under pressure. It can be used on various types of pipe material including steel, copper, cast iron, ductile iron, and PVC. Operated manually or by power, the tool is mounted to the pipe with a saddle and valve.
